A letter from the atelier

If you are reading this, you have wandered into our journal — and we are glad of it.

Saanjh is, for now, a small thing. A handful of pieces. A few women in a room above Lyallpur Galleria. A founder who is, on most days, both designer and accountant and packer and copywriter.

But Saanjh is also an old thing. Older than us. Older than the boutique. As old as the first woman in Punjab who pulled a thread through silk and discovered she could draw a flower into existence.

This journal is where we will keep the conversation. It will not be a marketing channel. There will be no countdown timers, no flash sales, no clickbait. What we will share, instead:

  • Atelier notes — what is on the embroidery frame this week
  • Heritage — the histories of the crafts we work in
  • Styling — how women we admire wear Saanjh
  • Brides — for those commissioning bridal pieces
  • Letters — from Uswa, from the karigars, from clients who have something to say

Once a month, perhaps twice. Never more.

If you would like these letters in your inbox, you can subscribe at the bottom of this page. If you would rather find us in your own time, we will be here.

Welcome to Saanjh.
