Size & Fit
Saanjh is made to your measurements. There is no standard size.
How we measure
Because each piece is made-to-order, we do not work from a fixed size chart. We work from your measurements. Below is the list of measurements we ask for. Please take them yourself, or with a friend — never with a measuring tape pulled too tight.
Measurements we need
For all pieces
- Bust — around the fullest part
- Under-bust
- Waist — around the narrowest part
- Hips — around the fullest part
- Shoulder — from one shoulder tip to the other, across the back
- Sleeve length — from shoulder tip to where you want the sleeve to end
- Sleeve opening (cuff width)
- Front length — from shoulder to where you want the kurta/gown to end
- Height — your full height, barefoot
For trousers, shararas, lehengas
- Waist (as above)
- Hip
- Thigh
- Length — from waist to ankle
- Bottom opening (for shararas and flared trousers, the width at the hem)
How to measure
Wear a fitted t-shirt and leggings. Measure over them, not over loose clothing. Keep the tape snug, not tight — you should be able to slide one finger between the tape and your body.
If you have a favourite kurta or gown that fits you perfectly, lay it flat and measure its dimensions. Send us both your body measurements and these reference measurements. The combination tells us everything.
If you are between sizes, or unsure
Write to us. We will guide you through it on WhatsApp, including a short video call if you are comfortable. There is no extra charge for this — it is the only way to make sure your piece arrives perfectly fitted.
Alterations
Despite our care, occasionally a piece may need minor adjustment on arrival. We offer one complimentary alteration within thirty days of delivery — return the piece to our atelier and we will adjust it at no charge. We cover return shipping within Pakistan; international clients arrange their own return shipping.
