Gulposh — Engagement Anarkali
Gulposh — covered in flowers. The bride before she becomes a bride.
An engagement or nikkah anarkali in powder-pink silk, embroidered with hand zardozi and aari in antique silver and dusty rose. The bodice carries a floral mehraab — peonies and trailing vines worked in raised metallic thread, with mukaish dots scattered between them like dew. The skirt has a single embroidered border at the hem and clean silk above, letting the colour breathe.
This is the piece for the engagement evening, the nikkah ceremony, the dholki — when the bride is becoming herself, in soft layers, before the heavier red of the main day.
